Wonderful

We really liked the location since we stayed in Maspalomas before and didn't appreciate the over touristy spot. The area was very authentic, calm, cute and the people were nice. It was close to nice hiking areas also the roads towards roque nublo were a bit tricky ( because it was very narrow).

Very Good

The hotel environment is in a quiet and cozy area surrounded by high mountains. The jacuzzi of the hotel was good. The breakfast was good. The suite was big enough, spacious and clean. Overall, we had a good time.

Only the road to the hotel has winding roads, but on the way I saw that they have an alternative road; They are constructing a tunnel

Wonderful

Very clean room, toiletries provided. Pool and jacussi available. Breakfast had excellent choices catering to all tastes.

Shower water temp was tepid but in a warm climate this was ok.

Lovely stay, we felt very welcomed.

Very nice and friendly staff and we were very satisfied with our room.

Water pressure is very very bad. Location is a bit far from everything ( far from the most popular places in Gran Canaria)

Very Good

Had a pleasant stay here - very spacious room & balcony and lovely view of mountains. Pool very nice. .generous breakfast, Spar two minutes away, easy parking.. Local cafes, etc nearby. Lovely little town to explore.

Quite a big gathering occurring second night so was pretty noisy and didn't get much sleep. Obviously not the responsibility of the venue and just one of those things..

Awesome location, friendly staff, great value.

Drive here only during daytime for safety (guessing it can be pretty dangerous driving on unknown roads high in the mountains at night) and gorgeous views (we were driving from Maspalomas side). Definitely recommending checking the top floor called "Solarium" (tip: it's not a "Solarium" in a traditional sense).

Exceptional

We were very pleasantly surprised what kind of a good quality hotel we found in La Aldea de San Nicolas village! The check-in was fast and positive, the cute doggy at the hallway added an extra-touch! Room had everything we needed for a small relaxation before a stroll around the town. We had a very good sleep, although for our taste the noises from outside of the room started way too early :) The breakfast was superb, one of the best on the island we had in 9 days. Everything was tasty and fresh, selection really wide.

We stayed on the first floor and the sounds from the kitchen downstairs could be heard in the room very clearly around 7a.m.

Wonderful

Breakfast was very nice. Also suitable for vegetarians/ vegans. Beds were very comfy and quiet room. The staff was also very nice (although hardly any one speaks English).

Our only problem was, that the water was sometimes cold in the morning. Destination is very difficult to reach without car.

I will see you next time!

My 4th time here. Whenever I am in Gran Canaria I make sure to spend 2 or 3 nights here Pool is a lovely place to chill out, great being surrounded by the mountains. It was very quiet this time so not the normal buffet but the staff gave me an extensive selection list of breakfast items which I completed the night before. No problem. The Hotel and the rooms always smell so clean and the decor, although showing it's age in places, is tasteful and inviting

Another personal favourite, always an essential stopover when in Gran Canaria

Love this hotel, 3rd time staying here for a few days' stopover. Lovely traditional rooms, very spacious Great buffet breakfast with plenty of choice and loads of fresh fruit The swimming pool is very relaxing although the pool always a bit colder that I would like! Nice hot tub to make up for it. Lovely wicker style sun beds to relax on Bar and food service available during the that although didn't try anything this time

Hotel is lovely but very limited local eating options in the evening.

We have stayed here before about 3 yrs ago. The standards of the hotel remain. Everything kept very clean and tidy. Lovely airy room. Daily house keeping. Fantastic options for breakfast, undertaken as a buffet. Loved the small swimming pool and jacuzzi.

The beds could have been a little more comfortable but we did sleep. Other than that can’t think of anything.

Distand and coasy hotel

The hotel is very cosy and very well priced. It is situated in a quiet town in a mountain valley with picturesque views. It has a small private swimming pool and jacuzzi, beach chairs with umbrellas, ping-pong, pool and small book library for the guests to use free of charge. The offered breakfast menu is relatively good. The hotel is relatively clean. No problems for parking. Very nice staff.

We stayed at the hotel with the family for a week. Some nights were a delight to enjoy quiet atmosphere, other nights, some guests stayed late in their terraces, relaxed a bit too much, they were laughing and yelling till late night (midnight and longer). All the staff leaves the hotel at 22:00 hours, thus, they can not calm the people on the spree. This is disrespect from the loud guests and the staff towards other guests who value and look for quietness. The breakfast menu products are of very good quality, especially vegetables and fruits, however after some days the variety of the options that seemed relatively wide, start to shrink to only few options, as after 3-4 mornings it becomes clear that in general there are 1) eggs, beans and saussages or 2) a sandwich, or 3) cereals (not really a food) and 4) yogurt and fruits or just fruits. Eggs, sausages and beans are always almost cold. Coffee is horrible. Having said all of this, if anyone is looking for an option of a Hotel with breakfast, I would recommend staying at it maximum for four days. On top of that, the town, its (reachable really only by car) port and stone beach are tiny and one day is sufficient for the visit. And finally, the location of the town is its strongest and weakest point - one has to drive at least an hour on the serpentine road either direction to be able to get out and come back. It's fine if you're there to stay for longer, of which I doubt, as there is truly nothing interesting, or one has to lose at least two hours per day commuting each day to other parts of the island. My personal verdict is that it is definitely worth visiting (for two days ) and then moving onwards to other places. Make sure you visit in the beginning or mid-week as the loud guests seem to be moving in towards the weekend, with Saturday night being the worst in my experience.
